Robin Linkater is a young lecturer in textile design; his time is spent teaching and on research in his specialised field – the inter-relationship between colours. And this is where the difference starts – where others refer to tables and perform laborious calculations using slide rules and desk machines to decide the effect of one colour on another, Robin merely dials into a time-share computer system.
