Elizabeth Clark, CEO, Dream Agility, from Manchester won the FDM everywoman Startup Founder of the Year award 2014.
Clark started her career designing electro-hydraulic armoured umbilicals before moving into engineering recruitment. Deciding on a radical career change, Elizabeth next launched herself as a self-styled ‘Flirt Guru’ and authored two books. Yearning to go back to her technology roots, ten years later she spotted a gap in the market and set up Dream Agility, the first enterprise level web platform with true mob app capability and multi-channel attribution as standard. Clark is a strong believer in bringing graduate female engineers on to mentored professional development schemes.
Judges said Clark was chosen because she is “keen to become an ambassador of getting women into IT”.
The annual awards aim to address the issue of attracting more women into the tech sector and retaining more female talent. This year's winners were announced during a ceremony at the Park Lane Sheraton.
