Anne-Marie Imafidon, enterprise collaboration strategist and head stemette, Deutsche Bank and Stemettes, from London won the FDM everywoman Rising Star of the Year award 2014.
Imafidon is an enterpris ecollaboration strategist at Deutsche Bank, working as a consultant. She has also founded Stemettes, to inspire the next generation of females into science, technology, engineering and mathematics via a series of panel events, ‘hackathons’ and through the media. To date, the campaign has reached 600 girls in less than a year. She is also a board member at Inspirational YOU, a Fellow of the RSA and director at Avisami.
Imafidon was described as having “the X-Factor and lit up the room as she walked in”.
The annual awards aim to address the issue of attracting more women into the tech sector and retaining more female talent. This year's winners were announced during a ceremony at the Park Lane Sheraton.
