Application development on Microsoft's hybrid cloud

Microsoft’s private cloud story has long been based on its System Center server management suite. The underlying hypervisor is primarily Hyper-V, as it is on Windows Azure, although the latest version of System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) can also manage VMware ESX and Citrix XenServer. Using SCVMM, you can create, deploy and manage virtual machines. New virtual machines are based on templates, which you design in SCVMM.
