UK cloud computing priorities 2014
A majority of UK firms looking at the cloud are considering working with software as a service (SaaS) providers in 2014 (57%). In Europe, it’s still a minority (44%). Again, this could be down to European wariness about using US providers in the wake of the NSA surveillance scandal. However, it might just be a reflection of the tendency of the UK to adopt new technologies and service delivery models a little ahead of other major European economies. UK respondents were also much more likely than European firms as a whole to use managed service providers (49% as against 35%).
