UK cloud computing priorities 2014
The UK is more confident about migrating data and applications to third-party cloud providers than other major European countries. Almost a third of UK respondents said they would be implementing cloud computing using external providers this year, up from 27% last year. This is in stark contrast to just 19% in France, 20% in Germany and 22% across Europe as a whole. Indeed, the number of European firms intending to use external cloud providers has dropped from 25% last year, possibly due to revelations about unchecked interception and analysis of users’ cloud data by US intelligence.
