Humans are the ultimate mobile platform – pictures from Intel Developer Forum 2013

Continuing the “humans as the ultimate mobile platform” theme, an Intel Labs prototype mobile app was presented that was capable of recognising each user by their walking motion or gait when carried. 

This learning app detected the motion of the user and could (given enough time) also start to detect what the user’s activity involved i.e. it could detect whether a female was wearing high-heel or not and perhaps make inferences about her likely activity at the time – hence, the contextually-aware application theme is carried forward here again.
