Software Gallery opens at the National Museum of Computing
Sir Charles Dunstone is accompanied by National Museum of Computing volunteer Jill Clarke, who first proposed the creation of the Software Gallery. Here they look at a display with a PC broken down into its constituent parts to demonstrate how software powers every component of the computer.
"Our museum has some of the most amazing working hardware on display, but as a software engineer, I felt we were missing a huge part of the computing heritage story: the development of software," said Clarke.
