Although social media will gain acceptance in the enterprise-space in the year 2013, it will be without the involvement of IT department, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). In its report, 'IDC Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) Social Business and Social Media 2013 Top 10 Predictions', the research firm states that the CIOs from APEJ, due to their misconceptions about social media and consumerization, will try to stall or make the wrong choices about both next year.
