Review: System Mechanic from Iolo
System Mechanic was straightforward to install from DVD on my Acer laptop and the software updated itself to the latest version automatically.
Version 11 claims to be the most advanced version of System Mechanic so far. According to Iolo’s web site, it performs 299 point diagnostic examination on your PC and can fix over 30,000 different problems. It performs maintenance tasks which are designed to speed up your PC in the background and, it claims boldly, “make old PCs run like new again”.
The software is available for a variety of different versions of Windows, including the most recent, Windows 8.
