A showcase of Nokia goodies from QT Developer Day
This image shows a €140 PC running a developer test version of Windows 8 to drive a human-computer interaction (HCI) application written in the Qt QML modeling language. This demo by Stuttgart-based company e-GITS shows a representation of a mechanical arm on a screen, which can be programmed to show stress areas to engineers as it moves. Alerts can be set up to warn plant equipment managers via SMS or e-mail if zones are appearing to show problems. A programmable logic controller (PLC) is used to interpret the movement of the machine arm and translate its position to the application and vice versa.
