HSBC launches global social network for businesses
HSBC Bank is helping its business customers connect with potential partners through a digital hub
Business customers of HSBC can now connect to each other securely through a digital hub provided by the bank.
The HSBC Connections Hub is a social network for businesses that can connect organisations across the world and open up business opportunities. It is another example of a bank using the latest technology to improve customer services.
Businesses can link up in the knowledge that the connection is with a business that has been approved by HSBC. This saves them vetting and doing due diligence on potential customers and suppliers across the globe.
“Researching and connecting with new business partners can be a daunting task, and one that gets harder with distance,” said Richard Davies, global head of propositions for HSBC Commercial Banking. “We have designed the HSBC Connections Hub to help break down barriers for companies of all sizes that aspire to forge new business relationships at home and overseas.”
“Every business interacting through the hub is an HSBC customer, giving users confidence that they already have one practical connection in common,” added Davies.
After providing a profile, businesses will be matched with buyers and sellers in the HSBC network. Members can search, view and connect with HSBC Business customers; review recommended buyers and sellers via the automated matching system; and send private messages to other members. The hub will also give users access to HSBC data and reports.
UK businesses that join the hub will be able to connect with organisations in Singapore, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, and the US. More countries will be added in the future.
