The British Consulate in São Paulo has launched a competition to take 10 Brazilian technology firms on a week-long programme focused on generating business in the UK.
The Innovation and Information Technology Competition will take place through the Consulate's network of innovation agencies, incubators and tech parks across several Brazilian cities.
To enter, Brazilian technology companies at any development stage are invited to fill out a form which, among other questions, requires a summarised three-year business plan for the UK.
Participants selected in the first stage will be invited to present their idea to a judging panel composed of Consulate representatives working with the tech sector, as well as Brazilian partner agencies.
During the week-long programme that will take place in May, the selected Brazilian companies will visit the main UK tech clusters, including London's Tech City and locations in Manchester, and participate in workshops that will detail the tax and legal advantages of setting up a business in the UK.
Companies interested in pitching for a place in the programme should apply via one of the Consulate's partners across the country: Inova Unicamp in Campinas; Tecnopuc in Rio Grande do Sul; Curitiba's Parque de Software; Campo Grande's Startup MS; Belo Horizonte's Fumsoft; Rio de Janeiro's TI Rio; or Recife's Porto Digital.
