CSC wins deal to transform datacentres for engineer firm Alstom

Engineering company Alstom has outsourced the transformation of its datacentres to systems integrator CSC in a five-year contract

Engineering firm Alstom has outsourced its datacentre transformation to systems integrator CSC for an initial five years.

CSC will use its private cloud service, BizCloud, and storage as a service infrastructure as part of a server and storage managed service.

CSC will consolidate the infrastructure using its own and Alstom’s datacentres.

CSC’s BizCloud can be hosted on customer premises to reduce concerns over  privacy, security and loss of control.

Alstom employs 92,700 people in 100 countries and reported revenue of €20.9bn last year.

CSC will work with Alstom in 50 countries.
