The Royal Mail Group (RMG) has put out a tender for IT consulting services, which will be worth up to £50m over four years.
Royal Mail wants a group of suppliers to provide IT-related consultancy services to the entire group.
Consulting is required in IT and operational strategy, business analysis and development, organisational design and impact assessment, development of training strategies, technology governance, business change and transformation.
Most of the IT infrastructure is hosted by CSC, but the Royal Mail has a multi-supplier environment with, for example, network services provided by BT.
“It is envisaged that there will be several categories of consultancy, including, but not limited to, business integration, technical delivery, information security, programme management and architecture,” said the tender, and “…services could be required across all RMG business activities, including back office services, logistics and supply chain systems activities and sales and marketing systems.”
