Computer Weekly wins digital publishing award

Computer Weekly has won a prestigious publishing industry award for the product development of the year.

Computer Weekly has won a prestigious publishing industry award for the product development of the year.

Judges at the PPA data and digital publishing awards chose Computer Weekly as the winner in the business media category.

The award recognises Computer Weekly’s premium content research channel, which has attracted thousands of registered readers since it was launched last year.

‘Having seen significant growth and increased revenues along with a substantial leap in registered users and impressive traffic results, the judges were hugely impressed with the team’s winning idea,’ the PPA said.

The channel, previously known as CW+, offers readers independent analysis and research from Computer Weekly writers, leading analyst firms, management consultants, and user groups.

Launched in May 2010, the research channel features over 400 free downloadable reports, for IT leaders and technical specialists from organisations including Gartner, The Open Group, and Booz&Co.
