GNR signs up Kaspersky Lab to bolster software portfolio
Cyber security player becomes distributor's first signing of 2018 as it moves to expand its software portfolio
GNR has expanded its software portfolio after sealing its first signing of 2018 with cyber security specialist Kaspersky Lab joining the fold.
The distributor has been steadily growing its portfolio after getting a kick start through buying some of Entatech's assets and saving 29 jobs back in May last year and has now joined the ranks of Nuvias, Arrow ECS, Exertis, Tech Data and DSD as an official partner.
Kaspersky Lab will sit in the GNR software category and the distributor will be able to offer the complete B2C product range to resellers.
“GNR is a specialist distributor and almost half of our revenues derive from software. Cyber security is the fastest growing sector within our software portfolio," said Dave Stevinson, managing director of GNR.
“We are exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic to assist Kaspersky Lab in reaching their goals in the UK independent channel," he added "We firmly believe that Kaspersky Lab is the optimum cyber security solution to protect critical infrastructure businesses and are immensely pleased to be working together in a formal basis.”
“The signing of Kaspersky Lab extends our cyber security offering and complements our exclusive relationship with Panda Security. Over the last 6 months we have invested heavily in our ESD infrastructure capabilities and are exceptionally optimistic in 2018," he added.
David Mole, Kaspersky Lab head of retail UKI, said that it had chosen to work with GNR to widen its reach into the retail sector.
“We look forward to working with GNR given their focus and knowledge within the UK reseller channel. Kaspersky Lab’s UK share has continuously grown over the past two years and now, with GNR’s support, we will be able to maximise this important part of our UK retail business," he said.
