Exclusive Networks and Exertis add security depth
Distributors signing vendors to react to increasing demand for data protection solutions
There continues to be a lot of movement in the security world, with consolidation and vendors signing distributors to improve their chances of gaining access to more resellers.
Multicloud infrastructure automation software player HashiCorp is one of the latest examples, after the firm decided that Exclusive Networks is its choice of first distributor for the company’s products in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The distributor will be handling the firm’s Terraform and Vault products, giving resellers the option to take the multicloud infrastructure automation software out to customers.
“With the right specialist help, HashiCorp channel partners are ideally placed to support further multicloud evolution, with products designed to automate and secure these dynamic environments,” said Denis Ferrand-Ajchenbaum, vice-president of global vendor alliances and business development at Exclusive Networks.
“For HashiCorp to choose Exclusive to spearhead its distribution channel strategy, it is a testament to the compelling nature of our bringing both rare expertise and extensive reach together into a single channel-enabling proposition,” he added.
Michelle Graff, global channel chief at HashiCorp, responded with a further explanation of its decision to go for the distributor: “Exclusive Networks is becoming the orchestration layer for partners that provide multicloud transformation solutions to enterprises. Its commitment to providing digital infrastructure solutions to partners will provide HashiCorp accelerated adoption and reach across EMEA.”
Exertis has also been inking more security deals, adding CyberSmart to provide a platform that can assess devices against security and compliance standards.
The distributor is expecting the service to be a popular one with resellers because it ticks compliance and risk management boxes for customers.
“In a matter of minutes, customers gain full status and visibility of their employees’ corporate and personal devices. We are excited to add CyberSmart to our portfolio and are looking forward to providing these solutions to our channel partners,” said Matthew Swindail, vendor development manager for security and cloud, UK and Europe, at Exertis Enterprise.
In response, Tracy Shepherd, distribution account manager at CyberSmart, said that Exertis could put it in front of thousands of resellers.
“To be working with a tier 1 distributor is testament to the fact that there is an ever-growing demand for solutions, such as ours, that champion and empower SMEs to take control of their cyber security,” she said.
These latest signings follow on from moves by Arrow ECS to add more depth to its portfolio, with the upcoming double signing of Unisys and Sophos.
