The channel HR departments never sleep and again the last week has seen some movement across all tiers of the industry as firms look for fresh talent to deliver growth

Danny Lopez has joined the company as CEO, working out of London, and is joining the Board of Directors with to help expand the firm's market presence. At the same time to help the firm meet its US ambitions Greg Sim is taking on the role of Executive President to focus on emerging market opportunities within the federal and commercial market. Lopez was most recently COO of Blippar. “I believe Glasswall is well-positioned to change the way the world thinks about cybersecurity and solve challenges that traditional solutions simply can’t. I’m excited to join this organisation at such a pivotal time and to lead the team as we help commercial organisations and government agencies rethink their approach to security," he said.
Doherty Associates
The cloud management firm has handed Ian Thorne the chance to make a difference in the role of services director. He will be responsible for overseeing the London and Kuala Lumpur based service desk and 24/7 support and directing operations at Doherty. He comes with two decades of experience, most recently at Capita. "We have many exciting tools that provide a wealth of information to our clients. Through business process harmonisation, we will enable Doherty customers to achieve better business and operational performance, such as allowing alternative service delivery channels with increased automated self-service options for end users," he said.

The IP phone specialist has promoted Fabio Albanini to head of International Sales.he previously proved his ability running sales in the UK, Italy, France and Spain. He will now be looking after all EMEA countries, except for the DACH region. "Fabio Albanini has had a string of successes over the last few years” commented Gernot Sagl, CEO of Snom Technology GmbH. “In light of his managerial abilities, his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the VoIP industry, the appointment of Albanini to lead the EMEA markets comes as no surprise.

The distributor has made a number of changes with Neal Johnston becoming global operations, managing director in an expanded role that includes responsibility for: international sales and fulfilment; supply chain managed services; global procurement; voice of the customer; own brand development; and global vendor management for the Pro AV, gaming and enterprise categories. Rod McCarthy takes on the additional role of managing director for Exertis services business in the UK and Ireland and Jason Chibnall becomes, Chief Information Officer, Fiona Graham Chief Marketing Officer and Alan Lynch becomes Global Logistics Director.

The firm has unveiled a partner programme which comes after the appointment of Eddie DeWolfe, who is taking on the newly created role of Vice President of Global Channels and Alliances. “Eddie has led very successful global channel teams and strategies within the cybersecurity industry, in some cases increasing channel revenues by a factor of 10,” said Nick Lantuh, President and CEO, Fidelis Cybersecurity. The firm has also brought on a new “on-the-ground” channel sales manager for EMEA, Mark Peters. With 20 years of experience that includes roles at Fortinet, Check Point, Avecto and Surfcontrol.
