Masergy boasts of channel growth
SD-WAN player looking for channel growth after doubling its revenue generating partner base
Managed SD-WAN player Masergy has reported significant growth of its channel base and indicated that it is expecting more to come over the rest of this year.
The firm has seen its revenue generating partners across Europe double to just shy of 80 in the last year and has made the commitment to take that number to 150 by the end of the year.
As well as developing its own channel relationships the firm has also benefited from alliance relationships with the likes of Cisco.
Masergy EMEA managing director Steve Harrington said that the firm had invested in the back end of its operations to support the channel and had appointed Emily Nerland to head up the UK channel account
management team.
“We’re amplifying partner revenue capabilities and driving new opportunities in the channel. In order to continue this success, the UK account management team has doubled, and we’ve bolstered our partner
training programmes," he said.
Elsewhere in the market fellow SD-WAN player Aryaka has also indicated that some of the funds it has garnered in its latest round of funding will be used to bolster its channel activities.
Masergy has also stepped up its training and certification programmes to make sure that the channel is in the best position to sell SD-WAN.
The $50m Series F funding from Goldman Sachs means that the firm has had $184m so far from a number of investors.
"This new investment allows us to further accelerate our business momentum and endorses our growth strategy,” said Matt Carter, CEO of Aryaka.
“We are extremely well positioned to help our customers drive WAN transformation and their multi-cloud and application performance initiatives; all while being delivered ‘as-a-service’," he added.
