Vertiv cuts ribbon on fresh partner programme
Power specialist has taken steps to increase incentives and support for channel partners across EMEA
The second quarter has started with a wave of channel programme launches and enhancements as vendors look to get partners ready for changes.
By and large the main theme of the changes that have been introduced or planned from the likes of Tripwire, VMware, Arcserve and Aryaka have been around encouraging resellers to gain more certifications to climb up the tiers to gain the maximum rewards.
Vertiv joins the list with its partner programme coming on the back of the power specialists conviction that there are opportunities out there for those resellers that specialise in edge computing and digitisation.
The enhanced Vertiv Partner Programme comes with a fresh incentive plan and a revamped partner portal and a channel friendly portfolio.
Authorised and silver partners will be able to earn rewards with the incentive programme and there are also going to be new rebates for those gold and platinum level resellers. The aim of the refreshed portal is to speed up the time it takes to register and gain access to benefits. There will also be training resources to improve skill levels available on the service.
“The channel is crucial to enabling businesses of all types and sizes to embrace the new opportunities enabled by edge compute, 5G and the wider trend towards digitalisation,” said Joachim Fischer, channel sales director for Vertiv in EMEA.
“In addition to our investments to enhance our innovative channel portfolio, Vertiv is also accelerating its channel strategy to ensure our resellers are positioned for success. The new partner programme and commercial policies that we are progressively rolling out across EMEA are testament to our commitment to the channel," he added.
Vertiv has also launched its latest uninterruptible power supply that is aimed at edge computing environments and is being made available through the vendor's distributors and resellers across EMEA.
Scott Murphy, director of cloud and advanced solutions at Ingram Micro, said the improvements in the partner programme would be a positive, giving the channel the chance to go after fresh opportunities.
