Asolvi makes another UK acquisition with Vantage Computing deal
The service management specialist has made it two deals in two months so far in 2019
Asolvi has made it an acquisition a month so far this year following up January's deal for Purpose Software with a move to snap up Vantage Computing.
This is the fourth acquisition made by the privately-owned Norwegian-based firm in three years, with it now owning a trio of UK firms to strengthen its position in this market.
The terms of the latest deal were not disclosed but with Asolvi looking to build on its service management portfolio Vantage comes with a cloud-based offering that allows SMEs to get greater insights into their operations.
The four deals it has made since 2017 have all been designed to add more range to the field service management tools it can offer. The firm has now added Vantage Online and Service Accent to Purpose Software's 2Serv and CBS products, which sit alongside its existing Evatic, Tesseract and WinServ solutions.
“The acquisition of Vantage Computing was a natural move for us,” said Pål M. Rødseth, CEO of Asolvi, who was already familiar with its latest target.
“Previously a competitor of Purpose Software, which we acquired last month, Vantage Computing complements our Evatic solution as it will help reach more customers that are smaller in size. We are very excited to work with Tony Milford and his team and are looking forward to drawing on the strength of the Asolvi family to utilize Vantage Computing to its full potential," he added.
Milford, who is CEO of Vantage Computing, said that it made more sense for the firm, which has been going since 1992, to become part of a larger organisation and it would be joining an outfit that had its eye on becoming a market leader, "in service management solutions for document management".
