Dobson's departure has been described as "good natured" with the moment right for him to set out for a fresh adventure. the terms of the deal he struck on his exit has not been disclosed.
“Scott’s contribution to Cloud Distribution’s journey thus far cannot be underestimated. He’s a true entrepreneur and a start-up genius. His specialism is in creating a business idea and establishing a firm foundation for growth. Almost a decade on from where he and I started, Scott’s work with Cloud Distribution is done, and he’s made the decision to move on to new ventures," said Harris.
The job ahead for Harris will be to take the channel player through the £20m turnover barrier, building on the £14m turnover it delivered in 2017.
The firm, which has always taken a cloud approach to market, with specialisims in security and networking, has continued to sign up more vendors this year to bolster the portfolio.
The focus when it started back in 2009 was on networking but it has been developing the security side of the business and has formed relationships with a host of players this year, including pen-testing player Pcysys, and more established brands including Check Point Software, Aerohive Networks, Arista Networks and Blackberry Software. Other recent additions include CybSafe, Avi Networks, and HyTrust.
“Our current trajectory is definitely one of continued rapid growth, through focusing our efforts on our existing Cyber Security and Networking vendor portfolio. As it stands today, we’re on course to deliver our best revenue numbers yet," added Harris.
