Nerdio introduces Multi Entra ID for complex IT environments

Known for its Windows desktop virtualisation capabilities and its tools designed to cost-optimize native Microsoft cloud technologies, Nerdio has now come forward with support for multiple Entra ID tenants in its flagship product, Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.

This feature has been rolled out to allow organisations to link and manage Azure Virtual Desktop deployments that span multiple Entra ID tenants from a single console.

The artist formerly known as Microsoft Azure Active Directory or Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID is a cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solution that offers authentication and authorization services to various Microsoft services, such as Microsoft 365.

This new feature streamlines the management of Azure environments by centralising control, improving visibility and simplifying administrative tasks for enterprise organisations with multiple Entra ID tenants.

Cloud end-users

Nerdio says its growth this year underscores the increasing demand for its cloud management solutions among enterprises, particularly as organisations look to modernise their cloud end-user computing solutions.

“With multi-tenant instances in Nerdio Manager for Enterprise, our organisation is capable of handling complex AVD deployments far more efficiently,” said Garion Brown, global vice president of platform engineering at French telemarketing and communications company Teleperformance. “We recommended this feature to Nerdio and it has provided us with a unified view of all of our instances of Azure, significantly reducing the need to switch between different accounts in Azure portal.”

DaaS: desktop-as-a-service

“We are seeing tremendous growth in the DaaS market,” said Vadim Vladimirskiy, CEO, Nerdio. “Globally, organizations are increasingly acknowledging the benefits of AVD, offering secure and efficient remote work access while reducing overall expenses. This growth reflects a broader shift towards cloud-based solutions as businesses prioritise flexibility, security, and cost-efficiency in their operations.”

Building on its momentum, Nerdio has expanded its reach through strategic partnerships with Carahsoft (a US-based government secure IT solutions provider and aggregator) and IT infrastructure services company Kyndryl.

By teaming up with Carahsoft, Nerdio has now offers Nerdio Manager for Enterprise to the public sector, using Carahsoft’s network of reseller partners and NASA SEWP V contracts to extend cloud technology solutions to government agencies.

Additionally, the partnership with Kyndryl enhances Kyndryl’s capabilities in delivering tailored solutions across Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and Microsoft Intune to meet unique environments and business needs.
