UK cloud computing priorities 2014
The UK’s appetite to use a variety of external cloud infrastructure services is notably larger than the European average, with a greater proportion of UK respondents stating they plan to use almost all the services listed, with the exception of storage as a service (39% in Europe, 37% in the UK) and network as a service (11% in Europe, 9% in the UK). The proportion planning to adopt data centre as a servic eshowed the biggest divergence (27% in Europe against 35% in the UK). Most tellingly, considerably more UK firms are planning to use hybrid cloud integration services (39% against Europe’s 33%), suggesting the UK is already further down the road in its adoption of a variety of cloud services.
